If you have experience in running a small business or have senior management or director experience in a larger company you may be interested in joining us.
Helping to support smaller businesses to grow is a the heart of what we do and all our mentors have gained an enormous amount of satisfaction from volunteering to mentor small businesses that may well be in the very early stages of their business careers.
Becoming a business mentor with us opens up a range of new opportunities and challenges for you - no matter how experienced in business you are you will be amazed at the diverse range of activities and antics our clients get up to!
We are well connected throughout the region with business support projects and organisations with whom we work including other mentoring projects which may operate in specific areas or with specific types of clients. This opens up a raft of opportunities for mentors around the area to get involved and start giving a little bit back to others who may not be in such a fortunate position as yourselves but who have big plans and ambitions to improve their building their own business.
All our mentors receive induction training which is provided free of charge to equip them for the mentoring role.
Mentors also have access to our intranet which contains a range of facilities and resources to help them in their day to day work and communications with the rest of the team and other mentors around the area.
As time and funds allow we also hold workshops on specific business issues for mentors and invitations to specific networking and business events all of which are provided free of charge.
We have a presence at a number of trade shows in the region where we offer support to businesses on the spot and afterwards. The shows do not only have experienced business people there as sellers and buyers but a number of first-timers researching before they really get going. All of these might well benefit from your experience and valuable discussions that will help them on their way.
